Frenchly Toasted Bites

Fill your house with the aroma of sweet, sweet cinnamon. Use these toasted bites to tastefully begin your morning or as a goodnight snack. Try not to drool.

Tools Needed:
▹Large bowl
▹Frying pan or Cast iron skillet

Time Needed:
▹5 minutes to prepare
▹5-10 minutes to cook

Ingredients:
▹1 egg
▹1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
▹1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
▹1 tbsp ground flax seed
▹1 tsp vanilla extract
▹1 tbsp cinnamon sugar
▹4 slices jewish rye bread (or bread of your choice)

Instructions:
1. Coat frying pan with nonstick spray and place on burner to medium heat
2. In large bowl, combine all wet ingredients (everything except bread)
3. Cut bread into desired sizes and drop into bowl of mixed ingredients above. Gently mix just until bread soaks up wet ingredients
4. Fry everything on heated pan until bread is crispy and brown around edges
5. Serve with syrup, nuts, fruit, and/or nut butter of your choice

Notes:
▹If you use a cast iron skillet: preheat oven to 400 degrees, after bread is fried, put skillet in oven for 5-10 minutes for extra crispiness if desired
▹In step 3, be very gentle with bread so that it doesn't fall apart
